Rodeo Fun

For a few months last year, my friend was hinting the fact that she wanted to go somewhere fun and exciting that we haven’t gone before. So I searched around on the Internet for some idea’s, and came across a few things that we both would enjoy. I came across National Rodeo Finals tickets, and we attended the 51st Wrangler National Finals Rodeo that began in Las Vegas last December, fans no doubt looked through the list of contestants to find their favorites to see who the best riders were for the gold buckles.

It was no secret that steer wrestling would be one of the most awesome contested events, with the world title coming down to the wire and virtually all of the Top 15 having a shot at glory. We enjoyed it so much to where we now want to attend Rodeo’s worldwide each year. Just check out one of their websites at Prorodeo.com and I guarantee you won’t be disappointed, you’ll have a great time and you’ll come out with so many great memories to keep close for the rest of your life that you can share with everyone.

ADA Accessible

Not very often does the owner of the bar and grill that I work at make any drastic changes around the place, so when we got wind of his plans to have a deck built for an outside patio for his dining and drinking customers that enjoy being outside. Heck if he had done this last year we would have had plenty of folks using it all winter long since we have had such extremely warm and relatively snow storm free weather all winter long. But it is better late then never and I’m sure people will really be pleased with the Picnic Tables and other outdoor fixtures that he has chosen to be installed out there. I mean today’s Picnic Tables are looking pretty good and since we have a large amount of regulars that are disabled the owner is having this area wheelchair friendly which really is a nice touch.

What I can’t wait to see and utilize are the Adirondack chairs that I understand will be lining one whole side/wall. Check out these quality made Adirondack chairs that I found online tonight. I just love them. The house I grew up in always had Adirondack chairs much like these on the side porch, which was my favorite porch. We were lucky enough to have a great front porch and a back porch with side porch built onto it a few years down the road and I have spent a good amount of time on that particular side porch, a lot of good memories. Every house should have a porch.

A few Park Benches are heard to be placed in various selected locations through out the whole back and sides of the building and eventually be able to cook, mainly bar-b-q possibly steamed crabs, spiced shrimp, corn on the cob, stuff like that. I’m guessing there will be plenty of special occasions that are going to be celebrated on the new addition of the place. Heck I could end up bar tending out there at some point, now that would be way cool. I’ve been thinking of maybe making a patio photo scrapbook, getting it started, keeping it up to speed with all of the goings on out there and present it to the boss and his wife one day.

The Love of Weddings

We all love weddings. They are always a happy day for the bridal party and all the guests. There are so many nice parts of the wedding and the reception for everyone to enjoy.I attended a lovely wedding over the weekend. The bride was lovely and the groom was quite handsome. The cake was magnificent and we each were given a cute wedding favor to take home with us in additional to a couple extra slices of wedding cake that the bride insisted we take with us.

I found a nice selection of Wedding Gifts and everything a bride would need to plan and equip her dream wedding at the web site “Sincerity Weddings.”

Why Yes, I’d Like Some Cheese With That Wine

I had no idea that there were over 200 winery’s scattered all over the grand state of Virginia. As much as I enjoy a nice glass a Wine now and then you would think that I would have visited one of two of them by now, but alas I have been content with drinking my occasional glass of wine at the bar where I work with my friends, co workers and customers. This will change though because I am going to see about gathering up a group of these people to go on a wine tasting tour as soon as the weather has changed for good, which should be in another month or so, so I have some time to do some research and come up with a game plan.

Don’t Mess with Mother Nature

I’m a big fan of natural things that help make you feel better, and many people already know about echinacea from the purple coneflower, even though there will always be scientific debate over how effective these natural cures can be, I know from experimenting on myself that echinacea, astragalus and some types of mushrooms certainly kick in the immune system, and they can tend to give you a yeast infection just like antibiotics.

So if you are the kind of person that keeps a bottle of echinacea in the cupboard, I recommend adding some reishi and shitake mushrooms to the mix along with astragalus.
