I’m sorry but I think there is nothing as silly looking as an old man driving a sports car.  The weather was wonderful today, and while I was driving home from running errands I saw an old man driving a convertible sports car with the top down.  I wanted to shout at him “You look so silly, old man!”

But, that would be very rude of me!  So I just shook my head and kept quiet!

Whenever I see an old man driving a sports car like that, it makes me think that he is trying desperately to feel young and sexy once again.  I guess there is nothing wrong with that, but I think it makes them look desperate and sad.  Like old women in mini-skirts and plunging necklines look desperate and sad!

Well my daughter never seems to stop surprising me, but I guess that is sorta normal for a pre teen, right? It was a beautiful day out today and she asked if we could go to the park/playground that we used to go to all the time back when she was much younger and really enjoyed playing on the playground equipment there. But has been several years since she has shown any interest in going there with me. For that matter she hasn’t really wanted to go any where with me, sigh. . .

Of course I jumped at the chance to go out and enjoy the nice weather day, there will not be that many more I fear. What I didn’t expect was to see all the changes that they have made to this particular park. They have replaced the old playground equipment with all new equipment. They even replaced the old Park Benches and the Picnic Tables that always seemed to give us a splinter or two each time we sat at them. They even put in a drinking water fountain and redid and cleaned up the restrooms. Now how cool is that? It’s about time that my tax dollars where spent on something that I approve of!

I do believe that I found a great site to find good products with good prices at Become.com. I have been looking at several yellow couches, I know it sounds weird but that is truly what I’m looking for. Not a bright yellow, but a mellow yellow and I have found a huge variety at this cool site that have grabbed my attention. I have also found the perfect home shelving units that I need for the garage in order to get that better organized so that I can eventually put my vehicle in there. This is something that has not been possible for over two years now and I’m done putting up with that now. With winter coming up quickly it would be nice to be able to pull into the garage and keep the car in there during the up and coming cold, wet and nasty weather that I’m sure we will be experiencing sooner rather than later, sigh….

Check out this cool “Block of Fun” that I found under “rugs 4×5” that I’m thinking of buying for my two nephews to share, use and enjoy together in their room as a Christmas present. I am trying to be a bit pro active here folks, Christmas is only 3 months away, yikes! My sister was so right this time. As I posted some time ago that I was having issues finding clothes that would keep me cool during these extreme weather conditions this summer and my big sis sent me the link to http://www.blueskyscrubs.com/categories/Scrubs/Scrubs-for-Women/Original-Scrubs and urged me to order some of the medical scrubs and uniforms that they have for sale there. As she said you don’t have to be in the medical field to wear these types of clothing, which is a good point. And if someone were to ask me about my “profession” while wearing these clothes I could either be truthful and tell them the reason that I’m wearing them or depending on my mood, I could play along and come up with some crazy stories that could possibly shock them and the lord knows I love to shock people so this could be fun!

So I took her advice and ordered some of ones that I thought I could pull off wearing and they came pretty quickly I’m happy to say. And today was the perfect day (94% in the shade) to try one out and I am pleased as punch as to way they look and felt while running my errands around town. I was all ready and prepared with a wacky story to tell someone if they asked and of course no one did. But I did feel comfortable in them and I didn’t get home soaking wet as I usually have been for the past couple of months. Even though I am divorced from my daughter’s father and he doesn’t have much to do with or for our daughter we are still pretty close with most of his family, although we don’t see them often enough. We received an invitation to a surprise birthday party bar b q to be held for my ex sister-in-law’s 50th birthday, which I had to turn down because of my work schedule, which was a total bummer for my daughter. But lo and behold at the last minute my manager found someone to take my place behind the bar so we were able to attend after all. So not only was my ex sister-in-law surprised but the whole family was shocked to see us as well.

It was the perfect day for a bar b q, instead of the horrific heat and humidity that we have been dealing with for most of the summer, today it was only in the 80′s with a nice cool breeze. So the weather was good, the food was good and the people were perfectly behaved, my daughter got to reconnect with some of her extended family, so it was a good day all the way around!
