My old school chum seems to be settling in a bit in her new home base in ontario, canada. I miss her like crazy, thank goodness for email, Facebook, texts, Instant Messaging and of course the good old fashioned cell phone all of which we have been using to stay in touch since she left earlier this summer. She does have her hands full considering that she has twin two year old boys that she is trying to raise so far away from anywhere or anyone that she knows, while her hubby is in the process of finding a good Business Lawyer barrie and coldwater ontario, canada to assist him with setting up his small business and getting it up and running before they run out of money that they had saved up for the move and the new business adventure that took them up that far.

Not sure when I’ll ever see any of them again, which breaks my heart. We have been friends since the 5th grade and I never thought that we would ever become separated so far from one another. It would be nice to win a trip to canada some how, I believe that would be the only way I would ever be able to make a trip that far away to see them. A girl can dream can’t she?

I’m sorry but I think there is nothing as silly looking as an old man driving a sports car.  The weather was wonderful today, and while I was driving home from running errands I saw an old man driving a convertible sports car with the top down.  I wanted to shout at him “You look so silly, old man!”

But, that would be very rude of me!  So I just shook my head and kept quiet!

Whenever I see an old man driving a sports car like that, it makes me think that he is trying desperately to feel young and sexy once again.  I guess there is nothing wrong with that, but I think it makes them look desperate and sad.  Like old women in mini-skirts and plunging necklines look desperate and sad!

My brother-in-law is a fairly good golfer, quite a bit better at it then I am, but I do love to play on occasion as it sure does relax me and I always have a good time when I’m out on a course. A couple of us have been thinking about going to Las Vegas and have decided that since we were going to be there anyway perhaps we could get in a few rounds of Las Vegas golf. So we decided to look up what kind of Affordable golf packages we might be qualified for.

I must admit we were a bit out of luck until my buddy found this website that gave us the information we needed to make reservations directly with the golf course of our choosing, and they even have the golf pros that can aid you should you need one, (personally, I need one because my long game is a bit shoddy to say the least). Anyway this site allows you to book on-line at just about every golf course I’ve ever heard of anyone wanting to play a round or two at. You can book a room, set up a tee-off time, maybe an appointment with a golf-pro to help you out a little on your swing or something, and as you’re dealing directly with the course people themselves. No middleman, in other words, a lot less money you need to dish out! Man you can even make your own style of a Golf Package Vacation! And the site shows you photos of the courses with detailed course information as well. Plus they show you what is available along the lines of nearby accommodations, with photos and availability by date information. I’m telling you, if you want to play golf, you’ve got to check this site out.

It’s a sign of the times, what with gas prices up once again, and the dollar is still waydown. It seems life is much more expensive today and I ‘m definitely not making anymore in order to keep up with it all. Most people I know are trying to do more with less, and now I am considering doing less with less.

I have certainly been traveling less, less road trips, less trips to the stores by making more purchases on-line in an effort to save more gasoline. Vacations have been less the past several years, and I don’t see myself booking and trips to exotic locations with expensive hotels any time soon.

Something definitely needs to give here, and soon.

Wow! I just found out that I got a new promotion and my wife and I will be moving shortly. When I told my wife she was super excited because she’s been wanting to move closer to her parents for some time now. I know that moving all of our stuff out of the house into a new one will be a real hassle but I believe that in the end it will all be well worth it. The great news came when my new boss told me that the company would cover my moving expenses and that all I had to do was pick the moving company that best suited our needs. Although, I’m very excited about the move there are certain things that have been stressing me out, like changing our internet and phone provider along with worrying about utilities.
