Little old men in their little sports cars

I think there is nothing as silly looking as an old man driving a sports car.  The weather was wonderful today, and while I was driving home from running errands I saw an old man driving a convertible sports car with the top down.  I wanted to shout at him “You look so silly, old man!”

But, that would be very rude of me!  So I just shook my head and kept quiet!

Whenever I see an old man driving a sports car like that, it makes me think that he is trying desperately to feel young and sexy once again.  I guess there is nothing wrong with that, but I think it makes them look desperate and sad.  Like old women in mini-skirts and plunging necklines look desperate and sad!

Rodeo Fun

For a few months last year, my friend was hinting the fact that she wanted to go somewhere fun and exciting that we haven’t gone before. So I searched around on the Internet for some idea’s, and came across a few things that we both would enjoy. I came across National Rodeo Finals tickets, and we attended the 49th Wrangler National Finals Rodeo that began in Las Vegas last December, fans no doubt looked through the list of contestants to find their favorites to see who the best riders were for the gold buckles. It was no secret that steer wrestling would be one of the most awesome contested events, with the world title coming down to the wire and virtually all of the Top 15 having a shot at glory. Our favorite was Jason Miller for Steer wrestling which shot towards the top with a 4.8 in round 10 and on average 42.70/10, which is quite impressing, I might say.We enjoyed it so much to where we now want to attend Rodeo’s worldwide each year. Just check out one of their websites at Prorodeo.com and I guarantee you won’t be disappointed, you’ll have a great time and you’ll come out with so many great memories to keep close for the rest of your life that you can share with everyone.

Most Macho Men on TV

Published by Cheryl under Entertainment, Men/Male

As much as I dislike war and wish we didn’t need the armed forces at all, I realize that we do need to have a strong military to defend our country and to help other deserving nations when they are in trouble.

I don’t know anyone actually in the military, although my cousin’s husband was in the Army for about 10 years. He has been out of the Army for a long time and is working with a Government contractor now as a civilian.

So I don’t know why I like to watch The Unit on TV because I really don’t like war type of shows, but I have to say that the men in that show are the most macho, sexy, capable men I have ever seen and I hope there are hundreds of thousands of little boys who watch this show and realize what wonder role models these men are.

Water skiing

I actually got up on water skis and managed to hang on for a good 5 minutes or so, this has been a long time a coming. I went for a week end visit at my brother’s summer beach house, where he has all of his water toys at hand and we had ourselves a blast this time around, and the weather was perfect the whole time for a change.

I have always enjoyed water sports, swimming, boating, rafting, fishing, tubing, but have never been able to get myself up and out of the water each time that I have attempted to water ski, so this came as a big surprise and helped end the summer on a high note! And one of my nieces got the whole thing on video to be shown, I’m sure, during one of the family holiday season get togethers that will be here soon, ugh…

Jimmy Buffett – The Author

My passion for reading has been with me all of my life, although it take a back seat for several years after giving birth to my daughter, 12 years ago. Now that I am on my own once again, my ex has custody, for the time being, I have been excited about given more time on my hands in order to start some serious reading once again.

I have been a “Parrot Head” since way back and have always enjoyed the tropical type music that he is so well known for producing and I have heard that he has written some books lately, but have never seemed to be able to come upon any of his books until just recently.

So I was thrilled to find one of his books called “A Salty Piece of Land” at my favorite used book store, and for only $2 and I’ve really enjoyed the reading of it this past week. I’m glad that inside of the book it tells me the names of his other books that I will need to see if I can find at a good bargain also. I’m especially interesting in finding the one entitled “A Pirate Looks At Fifty”, if I can’t find it locally then I guess I could always look on-line and see if I can find it somewhere out there in cyber-world, for cheap.
