It was just a matter of time for my teen aged daughter to want a larger bed and mattress than she has been using all of her life. Lately she has been crawling in my bed with me at night, which is fine with me, I love having her by my side all night long, and since she has matured she no longer kicks and tosses about like she did when she was a wee one when I used to keep her in the bed between her father and me.

So I’m looking out for a good mattress sale and of course I’m only looking online since I have no intention of running all over town to all of the various bed and mattress stores that our town has to offer. Something else that I liked about this site is that that have a Mattress Advisor tool for us to put in our preferences then they will in turn generate suggestions for your individual needs and wants.  A nice touch I have to admit.

There’s a grocery store in Europe that makes our little ’self-checkout’ lines look obsolete already.  In Germany, there’s a grocery store that you take your cell phone, scan the items with it that you put in your shopping cart and then when you get to the check out, your cell phone will display a bar code for everything you scanned total, the check out person scans that and you pay and out you go.

So it looks like we’re not only looking at advances in grocery shopping but also in cell phones.  At the check out, once you scan the payment bar code, you can pay by cash, credit card, debit card or fingerprint (after you have signed up for fingerprint shopping).  And the politicians wonder why we are falling behind the rest of the world where technology is concerned.

No matter what we do we seem to just keep getting Spam, Spam and more Spam, sorry I’m just tired of going on to the computer and having to deal with all of the adult rated junk and online narcotic ads that seem to find their way into my computer no matter what box I check off and block things when given the opportunity. I’m going to have to talk with my brother’s buddy who is a computer whiz type of guy and see what he suggests, it is really getting on my nerves.

Christmas was made so totally easy for me this time around with the help and use of my handy dandy laptop. I did not have to go outside of the house for a single thing in order to find and purchase all of things that were necessary to make the house look good and all the people on my Christmas list happy campers.

I have never enjoyed going out shopping, I just don’t like crowds and the holidays always warrant crowds in every store in town. One of my favorite sites is now nomorerack.com so I wanted to make sure that my friends, family and all my other readers here on my blog know about it. I found this unique and very user friendly site on Facebook. My sister actually uses it as well, but did she turn me onto it? Nope, had to find it myself while on Facebook LOL. I won’t hold it against here though, the holidays are always a crazy time for all of us, but we seem to always find the time to check Facebook at least once a day right?

One of the greatest things that happened when my husband and I recently moved into our new house is that we switched our television providers. Up until then we’d been cable television subscribers, because that’s what both of our parents had always used. We were looking around at our options for television in the new house and we discovered directstartv.com.
