No Way I Could Home School My Kid I Can Tell You That

I just don’t know how my friend Oneida does it. She home schools both of her kids and has been doing so since day one and they are now 13 (girl) and 8 (boy). She stays home while her hubby works two jobs to support them and they are one of the happiest couples that I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing.

With money always an issue with everyone these days, even working two jobs, she is always looking for a good discount school supplycompany to help with all of the school supplies that are necessary in teaching both of their kids. And with such a gap in the two kids ages I would imagine that they would need so many things for each of them that are age appropriate. The Internet is a wonderful resource that they use all the time for research, learning as well as finding things that they need to purchase and this site Constructiveplaythings.com has the kind of variety that I think will be great for them.

So I am going on Face Book later on today and send her a message with the link in it in hopes that it will help her out some.

A Good Day Out With My Pre Teen

Well my daughter never seems to stop surprising me, but I guess that is sorta normal for a pre teen, right? It was a beautiful day out today and she asked if we could go to the park/playground that we used to go to all the time back when she was much younger and really enjoyed playing on the playground equipment there. But has been several years since she has shown any interest in going there with me. For that matter she hasn’t really wanted to go any where with me, sigh. . .

Of course I jumped at the chance to go out and enjoy the nice weather day, there will not be that many more I fear. What I didn’t expect was to see all the changes that they have made to this particular park. They have replaced the old playground equipment with all new equipment. They even replaced the old Park Benches and the Picnic Tables that always seemed to give us a splinter or two each time we sat at them. They even put in a drinking water fountain and redid and cleaned up the restrooms. Now how cool is that? It’s about time that my tax dollars where spent on something that I approve of!

Scotch Tape

Published by under House & Home

I bet almost every American household has at least one roll of scotch tape in their house and almost anyone with an office has a rol in their desk, too. This is a fixture in our daily lives and is such a convenience. Would you believe that Scotch tape was invented in my mother’s generation? Back in the days it was called cellophane tape. I found the 3M web site that explains the whole history behind scotch tape. I thought it was really interesting to learn how it evolved and was advertised over the years.

Growth Factors in International Business Globalization

With the growth of the internet and online business, many individuals and companies are finding themselves in a position to do business globally – a position they never before dreamed they would be in. The Internet and business on it, however, has made global business a reality for many companies, both small and large. With change like that comes a whole new set of rules, possibilities, and factors for growth and profitability. These are all factors that must be realized by company owners and managers as they look to their expansion potential.

Global Business Factors You Need To Know

  1. Economic Factors: This is by far the biggest factor in determining how an international business can grow. If all of the economic factors are favorable then you have a recipe for success. If, however, they are not aligned then you put yourself in a situation where growth not only stagnates, but the entire business process and growth can stop. This is all dependent on a strong and healthy economy and if that factor is not in place then everything else falls apart. When countries are in recession or the economic climate is not favorable, then this puts everything in jeopardy and globalization or growth will not occur.
  2. Cultural Factors: The way that people operate within a society or within their culture has much to do with business globalization. Certain beliefs, ethics, or traditions can inhibit growth in certain segments. Certain products or services may not be favorable or recognized by certain cultures. It’s always important when entering into a global business climate to be aware of and prepared to honor all cultures so that you can follow them appropriately.
  3. Market Share or Segmentation: Each company participating and competing in a global business culture and climate will gain their own market share. The way that the market is segmented may have much to do with the way in which the growth occurs. If one company is on top and stays in that position, then the competition becomes much fiercer. There is a lot of shifting and readjusting that companies must to do earn and to keep their market share or “piece of the pie” in a global business climate.
  4. Technology: New ways of doing things are constantly being introduced. Technology has much to do with the way in which we operate and therefore it has a rather significant place within our business world. When we look at this on a global level, then technology can play a rather significant role in growing things or causing others to trail in following along.
  5. Government Involvement: Though some governments don’t get too heavily involved, others run the show. When it comes to business and looking at it from a global perspective, the way that government handles things and how they let companies run will determine much and affect growth accordingly. Learning about managing governmental involvement is essential for the successful global business.

There are many factors that affect how companies grow or remain stagnate in a global business climate. These are the most important to be aware of, but there is always something new to be learned for the most successful global businesses.
