Monday is the beginning of another school year for my 12 year old daughter, I am finding it hard to believe that she is now a 7th grader and is in middle school, and what ever happened to calling it Junior High School anyway.
She is such a shy one and she is very nervous about the whole thing, I wish I could go with her and make sure everyone is nice to her, I’m sure their are millions of mothers (and fathers) who feel the same way. Kids can be so incredibly cruel and I just hate thinking of anyone being mean and/or nasty towards her in any way. This is one wonderful little girl and is full of such goodness and humanity, she has the soul of an old Native American woman and deserves nothing but the best!

My daughter convinced me that she was capable and willing to take care of a dog, so for last Christmas I broke down and gave her a puppy, a 6 week old male Pug, that she named Scooter. I have to say that Scooter is one of the smartest and coolest dog that I have ever had the pleasure of being around. But like most puppies, there is the occasional accident that happens in the house and it always seems to happen on the carpet. Sometimes when I walk into the house I can tell and smell that we have a puppy and it is a major turn off, so I need to do something about it before it gets any worse and my Dad starts getting on us about the puppy.
Since I turn to the Internet for just about everything these days I figured that I would look for some odor removal tips and see if there is something out there that I wasn’t aware of. I’ve all ready tried everything that I know of and have asked around at work as well. One of my customers told me about a local company called The Steam Team that did wonders for his mothers carpets, he was even kind enough to send me the link http://www.thesteamteam.com/pet-odor-treatment.shtml that took me directly where I needed to go to see what this company has to offer and what they are all about.
I’ve given them a shout out and they are scheduled to come out to the house on my next day off which is Tuesday of next week. If they do a good job my Dad is interested in them cleaning the rest of the carpet in the house which hasn’t been done in several years and it certainly could use it. So we will see how it pans out and hopefully we can move on.

It’s not that I don’t like what I am doing right now, but I don’t think I can see myself still behind this bar when I’m in my 50′s ya know? I’m hearing more and more people that are going back to school, and not the traditional school setting mind you but using their computers and on their own time and scheduling, which is pretty cool. I’ve heard that WaldenU.edu is a great place to attend via the Internet. So I think that I will take a look at the Walden University’s online degree programs and see what all they may have to offer me at this point of my life.
The thing is, I’m not sure what I’d be good at or smart enough to do, don’t get me wrong, I’m no dummy, but it has been so long since I had to really learn anything, except how to mix drinks that come about every now and then depending on what new “fad” drink is being consumed out there. Oh well, like I said I’ll take some time over the next few weeks and do what I can to just learn about Walden and see if I can find something that I think I can handle getting into as well as afford.

A couple of weeks ago I signed up for a new customer loyalty card with Sheetz. It will give me 3 cents off per gallon of gas when ever I present my card at the time of purchase. I all ready buy gas at Sheetz 99% of the time, the almost always have the cheapest price for gas and cigarettes, which I spend way too much money on each week.
I received an email from them today telling me that I can go into any Sheetz and get a free package of their
