This week I feel very scatterbrained and out of focus. Usually I know what I’m doing ahead of time and plan accordingly. But there is so much going on, that I feel like a marionette with 10 different people pulling my strings. So I have no charted course and no plans. If I was to make any plans, I know they will just end up being broken. So why bother?
With no idea of what’s going on today, I don’t even know what I am going to cook or dinner. I was standing in front of the refrigerator a few minutes ago, just staring at the contents and having no motivation at all. So, what’s for dinner?

Someone on Facebook asked all his friends to post a comment on his wall with the name of a movie that they have watched over and over again. It was interesting to read everyone’s choices for favorite movies. You would think that because we are a small group of friends with a lot in common that our movie choices would overlap a little. But, no. I seriously could not agree with any of the other people’s movie picks.

This morning was crazy. I woke up early because I have a lot to do today and I wanted enough time to get dressed and have a nice breakfast before dealing with everything. So I set the alarm for 2 hours earlier than normal and woke up totally groggy. I stumbled into the kitchen to make a cup of hot tea, and as soon as I set the kettle down on the front burner, the electricity in the whole house shut off.
I don’t know if everyone does this, but my first thought was about whether the bill ha been paid on time or not. So I found the bill and checked the dates and yes it had been paid, in full and on time. So that’s not the problem.
There is a phone number on the bill to call and report an outage, so I called that and left a message and tried to find something to do around the house that didn’t require electricity. To be honest, there is not much I can do in the dark. Could not even take a shower as there would be no hot water.
So, I went back to bed. Less than 2 minutes from when I laid my head back on my pillow, the lights came back on. Aint that the way?!?
