Making ends meet with less

It’s a sign of the times, what with gas prices up, the dollar is down. It seems life is much more expensive today and I ‘m definitely not making anymore in order to keep up with it all. Most people I know are trying to do more with less, and now I am considering doing less with less.

I have certainly been traveling less, less road trips, less trips to the stores by making more purchases on-line in an effort to save more gasoline. Vacations have been less the past several years, and I don’t see myself booking and trips to exotic locations with expensive hotels any time soon.

Something definitely needs to give here, and soon.

Don’t mess with Mother Nature

Published by Cheryl under Uncategorized

I’m a big fan of natural things that help make you feel better, and many people already know about echinacea from the purple coneflower, even though there will always be scientific debate over how effective these natural cures can be, I know from experimenting on myself that echinacea, astragalus and some types of mushrooms certainly kick in the immune system, and they can tend to give you a yeast infection just like antibiotics.

So if you are the kind of person that keeps a bottle of echinacea in the cupboard, I recommend adding some reishi and shitake mushrooms to the mix along with astragalus.

Only two days left until Uncle Sam gets his $$$

I happen to be one of those people that postpones the inevitable by waiting until the last moment in filing my taxes and the calendar is telling me that I have only 2 more days left of holding on to my hard earned money, before handing it over to good old Uncle Sam.

Now if I was to be deserving enough to receive a refund, you can bet your bottom dollar that I would be the first in line at the Post Office mailing in all the necessary paperwork that is demanded of all U.S. taxpayers every year in an effort to get something out of the whole deal.

But I have been having to pay into the system each year, since becoming legally divorced and giving custody to my ex of our 12 year old daughter, I like to hold onto and use my money for as long as I possibly can. So come the 15th I’ll be there in line with all of the other late comers, but I’m sure I’ll be in good company!
